5 Things one cannot live without. You think you got it right?

THINK AGAIN. But before that lets take some time and think about the common answers.

1. Parents
2. Girlfriend/Boyfriend
3. Friends
4. Food/water/air
5. Bed

Look familiar and simple, wait, let me give you mine right at this instant....

1. Family(#include Parent, GFs)
2. Friends(#include college, school, random)
3. Mobile phone(local, national, and international)
4. Laptop(I need more RAM!!!)
5. INTERNET!!!!(We need to get the unlimited package)

The first list looks really familiar to me as I remember filling out slam books in the end of school days. But now, everything has changed... I am doing my masters, and a part time job, and doing research to add the cherry on top. Trust me this is nothing compared to what my roommate is going through, all he has time for is to go to the lab.

Long distance relationship are a pain in the ___, but truly it depends on the person you are and that person at long distance. I believe that the more you are suffering ( meaning hardships) now, the better your life is going to be later. I cannot live without my mobile phone because I call her for atleast an hour every 24 hours. One might think, 'hey isn't it going to cost you a fortune', wellll NO, the rates these days come as low as 2.9 cents per minute, which makes it a cool $1.74!!! I am so glad I can talk to her for 4-5 hours a day ( not exaggerating ) and still not worry about the money that much. :)

My roommate is quite the photographer, and has a lot of ideas in that head of his ( where I dont want to get lost in; mind you ),and recently a few of us had a picture taken while standing on a footpath. As usual, I was waiting for a clear shot so that no outsiders come in the photo, but my friends tell me... 'it's OK we'll photoshop it' and I go ?????? and I took the picture giving that ??? smile of mine. Anyway when we came back home and my friend showed me how to remove the extras in the picture with a click of a button. Till now I have only used photoshop for making posters but man... how everything changes when you leave college level to be masters level. The people you meet are amazing.

In one of my first assignments after being a masters student, a few of us faced a problem to which we had no clue on how to solve. We jsut could not make a formula out of what was given. Then a friend of mine told me, ' why not google it? , let's see what it gives' and this time I go 'Damn why didn't I think of that' and voila... we got the exact formula we needed for the question and I was stumped!!!!

I, more than anyone right now, know how handicapped one feels without his laptop, guess why? , because I just gave it for a minor repair, and it'll be back in 6 days ( which is like an eternity btw ), I cannot recharge my calling card to call my loved ones, cannot see my family and friends through inbuilt webcam, cannot check my bank balance, cannot check the NBA scores, cannot see the latest anime episodes released, cannot download the latest poker shows.... I mean you just cannot move an inch without it. I remember when I was in India, that I was not so dependent on the internet or my laptop. But, now... this is what it has come to.... thank god for such good friends that I am able to manage without it... and I know everyone's laptop password.. :) Life is moving, better catch up.
